Tree Sponsorship
Represent your family, school, or other organization/business by sponsoring a tree to decorate. Your $200 entry fee includes one (1) Christmas tree with stand to decorate to your liking, an entry in the contest, an assigned space within the OHgo front property seen from Perkins Ave (2304 e perkins ave), and a printed sign indicating the name of your family, school, or organization/business. Each sponsorship donation will provide 600 meals during our holiday pantry events.
Rules and Decorating Procedures
Rules:
Local businesses, religious organizations, non-profits, service clubs, and individuals/families are allowed to enter.
You must provide all decorations for your tree. Any lights on the trees must be solar lights as electricity is not provided.
OHgo and Perkins Township is not responsible for any damage to or items stolen from decorated trees.
You are free to express your creativity and originality, but we ask that your tree represent your business, organization, or family in a positive light.
Decorating Procedures and Guidelines:
For weather-related and environmental reasons, the following items are not allowed in tree decorating:
·Berries, popcorn, dried fruit, etc.
·Candles, aerosol snow or other flammable items
·Flocking or tinsel
·Paper, cardboard or any other material that may be damaged due to weather conditions (unless laminated to withstand possible weather conditions)
Tree decorating will take place from Sunday, November 29, 2020 at 12 p.m. – Friday, December 4, 2020 at 3 p.m.
All participants MUST decorate their tree within the given time frame.
If assistance is needed between 10am-3pm within those dates, please see an OHgo volunteer on headquarters or text 419-602-0856 with questions.
Trees will remain on display through Wednesday, January 6, 2021. From Thursday, Jan 7th through Sunday, January 10th, participants are welcome to come undecorate their tree and keep their decorations and/or tree. Whatever decorations are remaining after this date, OHgo volunteers will remove and box up, beginning January 11th, to be donated to a family in need the following Christmas. These will be distributed with a tree to their home during our annual Christmas Tree Give. Any remaining trees beginning January 11th will be donated to an interested shelter, deer park or turned into wood chips.
